Ocean Beach Denmark

Ocean Beach Denmark is located between the Wilson Inlet and the Great Southern Ocean on the south east coast approximately 10km from the town of Denmark, Western Australia.  A visit to Ocean Beach (or at least a visit to the Ocean Beach Lookout) is an absolute must while in Denmark. Think a grassy foreshore overlooking a stunning white sand beach with set after set of waves. This is a swimmers and surfers paradise, particularly in the summer time.

Why is Ocean Beach one of Denmark’s most popular beaches?

Once you visit Ocean Beach on a fine sunny day, you’ll know why this beach is so popular. The view of the Wilson Inlet and across the rolling sets of waves to the Great Southern Ocean is breath taking and very unique.  While it can get really busy on a warm and sunny summer’s day, there is plenty of white sand to set up a shade and spend the day away.

What facilities are at Ocean Beach?

Ocean Beach features a grassy area overlooking the waves, a seated look-out area, an undercover pavilion, Surf Club, toilets, showers and free parking make this a favourite with both locals and visitors to the area. During summer the beach is also patrolled and the small surf club kiosk is usually open for food and drinks.

Is there a lookout?

The Ocean Beach Lookout is found off Ocean Beach Road just after the Prawn Rock Channel Recreational Area.

Is anywhere to eat at Ocean Beach?

In summer the Surf Club Kiosk is usually open with a small range of food and drinks.

Can you camp at Ocean Beach?

No, there is no camping allowed at Ocean Beach. However, the Big 4 Denmark Ocean Beach Holiday Park is only a short walk or drive away and has both powered and unpowered campsites and well as cabin accommodation.

Is there a way to check the conditions before I go?

Yes, there is a live Ocean Beach Web Cam on the Denmark Surf Lifesaving Club website home page – www.denmarksurf.com.au
